My must-have settings in Windows 7 compilation

Show "ghost" hardware in Device Manager (stuff that's been connected, still has fluff left in system to some degree)

Create Open Command Prompt Here :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\Command Prompt]
@="Open Command Prompt Here..."

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\Command Prompt\command]
@="cmd.exe /k pushd %L"

Right-click, new... :
- Make a "Data" key to give default content :

Shortcuts :
F4 - open address bar drop down(explorer)
Num Lock + * - Open all subfolders (left side explorer)
Alt + Space - Window Menu (minimize etc.)
Win + F - Open search
Ctrl + Shift + Esc = Process Explorer (or Task Manager...)

To make shortcut(instead of moving the file(!)) to Start Menu, right-click+drag and choose "make shortcut here"
Navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
Using Registry Editor; now add to key named as:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders\Shell]

If you have many folders with strange views you can try resetting them all at once by executing the following registry file.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell]
"BagMRU Size"=dword:00004e20

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders\Shell]
LeftClick+Shift on Folder gives "Open command window here"

System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment Variables (User or Machine) -> Add "devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" with value 1

Run (Win+R) .. - Opens C:\Users
Tricks for command line :

Open old .hlp files :

Network Security :
Allow Local System to use computer identity for NTLM - from Not Defined to Enabled

Network access:
Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users - from disabled to enabled

Folder Structure :
Application Data that applies to all users are stored in %systemdrive%\ProgramData
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows - Holds SendTo, Start Menu etc.
while C:\Users\Public\..... holds for all users
